There is a lot of focus on what a child with Perthes can’t do. Perthes.org supports what a child can do … and how you can help!
If you could give a child back the joy of childhood, would you? If you could ease the worry of how a family will afford adaptive equipment, would you?
For as little as $100, the Family Assistance Fund can provide a child with a wheelchair to keep up with his friends.
For $50 you can give a child the independence to go to the bathroom on her own.
A gift of any amount is appreciated. At Perthes.org/donate-2 you can choose to give one time or monthly to help us reach our goal of $10,000 raised on #GivingTuesday! This could supply 3 families with ramp access to the home or 1,000 children with a wheelchair or crutches!
There are more ways to give: if you prefer to give your time, contact us to volunteer! Consider offering your time to help assist in transportation or childcare during Dr appointments. If you have a van, offer a vehicle swap to a fellow Perthes warrior and family in the casting or post op phase. If your family has outgrown accommodations, swap or donate them to a family that may be at an earlier stage of Perthes. Contact us if you’d like to arrange a swap or donation of goods/equipment such as wheelchairs, adaptive clothing, bolsters, etc.
